Si hace un tiempo saltaba la noticia de que Shueisha estaba preparando una nueva revista para el 19 de mayo, llamada Jump SQ.19 con nuevos títulos de mangakas como Yasuhiro Nightow (Trigun) Kawasita Mizuki (Ichigo 100%) o Yamato Yamamoto (Kurenai) ahora la nueva noticia es que pondrán a la venta el día 30 de abril, otra nueva publicación, la Shonen Jump Next.
Esta nueva revista, será una publicación similar a lo que es la Akamaru Jump, un lugar donde jóvenes mangakas dan a conocer one-shots para que alguno de ellos pase a publicarse en un futuro en la revista hermana, la Shonen Jump, si la popularidad y la calidad acompaña.
Además de esto, otros mangakas ya veteranos también publicarán nuevos capítulos autoconclusivos o capítulos especiales de sus mangas en publicación.
